Headings populate a side-bar for easy navigation

I maintain particularly long pages in Bear for note-taking.

These pages are separated using headings, but I have no easy way to jump between sections when needed.
My preference is to have a side-bar that’s toggleable (like existing sidebars) that allows jumping between all the headings. This way, we’re not updating a Table of Contents on the page - the headings are extracted and read-only displayed.

These headings could be indented slightly to indicate level.
e.g.,

  • Heading 1
  • Heading 1
    • Heading 2
    • Heading 2
  • Heading 1

PS: Love the new alpha build. Hiding the markdown works a treat.

Welcome (sorry for not replying earlier), yes what you mentioned is usually referred as the “Table of Content” and we are working on it.
