There should be an option to allow you to only view the current level of nested tags. As it is, when viewing the tag “Tag/Subtag/SubSubtag”, I see all the notes (which can be a large number) and it is difficult to find something that I only have tagged at the top level (with #tag). The only easy way I have found is to do a search for “!#tag” to find these items. It would be better to allow a toggle to change the behaviour to hide subtags when viewing the tag list, and only show items tagged with subtags when click on that subtag.
Bear already offers this feature. Just tap or click the tag name at the top of the table, then go to Preview Style and select Hide Subtag Notes.
