How to Quickly View All Notes with a Specific Tag?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the fastest and most practical way to view all notes associated with a specific tag without browsing and selecting in the tag list. Also fastest way to switch back and forth from tag filtering and all notes.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Probably the fastest is clicking on the desired tag within a note, which finds all notes with the tag.

You can also search for the tag using the global search field — include the hashtag.

Oh and to switch to all notes, use the Cmd-Opt-1 shortcut. (There are more combos for the other smart lists.)

Thanks for your reply. The first method implies that the tag I’m looking for is present in the current note, and it isn’t always the case.

Cmd-opt-1 reset to “all notes” or switch back and forth?

That just goes to All Notes. The various options from the View menu are below.

You can generally use Cmd-[ and Cmd-] to go Back and Forward with what you’ve been looking at (though I’m a little unclear on how each previous/next item is chosen/recalled).

I usually just use the quick switcher (cmd-o). It searches titles, tags, etc. Just type in your #tag and when you select the result from the list it opens the note list with just notes carrying that tag.
