Improvements for iOS App Sharing Extension

Hey Bear Team, just wanted to share my views on some improvements that would add a lot of value, at least in my case.

With the new improvements for the Web Clipper, Bear has now become my new “Read Later” App. It is fast, the parsing is good, it has no issues with sites that need logins, and reading the saved articles on Bear is a delightful experience.

That said, it would be nice if we could finally have an improved App Sharing Extension on iOS, after this many years. This are the things I would love:

  • Append/Prepend: I never found this feature that useful, I guess always append would be just fine, but it would be nice if we could at least have a search box for finding notes. I have like 12.000 notes, so without a search box this feature is 100% useless. I can’t start scrolling down.
  • Remember last preference: this is the most annoying part, I personally always 100% of time use the save “Web Page Content” option, so having to do the horizontal scrolling until the end is annoying. I want bear to remember I always use that option so I don’t have to do anything.
  • Improvements for the parsing on links from Instagram. I will be more specific in another post: Some Parsing Improvements when saving links from Instagram

A note search feature is really needed.

And an option to add metadata like in the web clipper extension !!

Thanks for the feedback. We have some improvements in mind for the sharing extension and we’ll take your suggestion into consideration.
