- What were you doing: Long press note, select Copy link
- What feature did you use: Paste the link into another note
- What happened: The link pasted, saying [[Untitled note]] but clicking on it opened a different note than the one I copied the link from
- What did you expect to happen: The right note to open
It’s user fixable, by changing the note name, but I feel like this broken linking system undermines the stability of Bear.
I want to know that when I copy a link to a note, it’s to that note, and not based on its name.
Another work around: it seems it’s also possible to long press on a note and “Copy identifier” and paste that into a [[ ]] and then give the link an alias with | like this:
[[D7-96-4B-8B-83C|Read me]]
