I am on iOS 18.4.1 and Bear 2.3.12 (13245), and my notes don’t sync. When I go to the sync page under settings, I get the box that says Update Required for Syncing, but I am at latest version.
On my mac, I am also on Bear 2.3.12 (13245) and the same thing happens - Bear tells me I need to update to sync, but there is no newer version.
Anyone seen this before? This just started happening yesterday (Sat April 26, 2025).
Oh, that makes sense… so my 2.4 version on the iPad does not want to sync with my 2.3.12 on the Macbook. Is there a way to go back on the iPad or am I now forced to use the Beta on the Macbook? Or should I not worry because it’s already cool and reliable?
… update. It seems 2.3.12 does not sync, period. I tried going back to 2.3.12 on the iPad but the result is still the same… so here’s my next question: How do I get 2.4?
Just a little summary… thanks to the fabulous team of Bear all was resolved quickly! I had testflight installed on the iPad but not the Macbook. So I updated to 2.4 on the iPad without even thinking much about it, while I was not offered the update on the Macbook. And when I made a new note using 2.4 it was synced to the cloud. Which obviously meant that 2.3.12 didn’t want to sync with it. Now I have 2.4 on both devices and I’m a happy bunny again.
