When I am on my iPad, I can markup a pdf and close it and it saves in the document.
When I open a PDF on my Mac to markup, It opens and then I have to open it in preview and then it creates a copy which then I have to drag into Bear and delete the old version.
Is this the way it is supposed to work on the Mac? Am I missing something? I love just being able to have some highlights and close the document and it is in Bear.
If I right click on the pdf and select “Open with” rather than using preview and then use my normal editor, pdf expert. I can make edits and then simply close the file which then gives a save prompt, which once accepted, saves back into the pdf in Bear (just as on the iPad. Hope that helps or gives a clue as to how to achieve what you want.
Thanks. That does not work with Preview but it does work with Acrobat. So I can use it for this one purpose. Thanks for the tip!
