Hi. I just started with the Bear App and might be overlooking something, but it seems I can’t hide the preview of a inserted pdf-file or rename the file in the editor if I use my MacBook (MacOS26.1). I tried with Ctrl-Click on the touchpad, but this doesn’t trigger any reaction. Hovering over the preview gives me a double-arrow to resize the preview, but after several attempts I have the impression I can’t hide it entirely.
On my iPhone (iOS 26.1) and iPad (iPadOS 26.1) renaming the file and hiding the preview works perfectly well.
I work on a itinerary for an upcoming trip and want to have all travel documents in one place. Besides this very little problem, everything works great.
Thanks for reporting this bug. I can see Ctrl-Click is not working on Bear with macOS 26 when performed on a PDF attachment with a preview. However, the regular right-click menu shows as expected.
On my MacBook, I always press Ctrl-click to perform a right-click, and as you confirmed, no context menu is displayed.
I had tried unsuccessfully to perform a right-click by clicking in the lower right quarter of the touchpad. This actually works when I use two fingers. I may need to check my settings.
Anyhow, right click context menu is basically all I need.
PS: I don’t see any option to mark the thread as solved.
PPS: Checked settings > trackpad > secondary – was set to “two fingers”. Apologies for all the hassle.
