I’d like it if when you have selected a tag and the tag is collapsed the interface would show all notes (children and descendants) under the tag. This is the current behavior. But if I expand the tag then it would only show notes that are direct children of that tag and not the descendants. The equivalent of !#mytag
This is similar to how Timing.app chooses to group entries when you select / expand / collapse projects and it works really well.
The problem with just relying on the !#mytag search term is that when you search and go exploring your notes you lose your search and then have to re-enter it and find your place again.
