Signin failure: authentication error

What were you doing:
Trying to log in into bear web with the invite link.

What happened:
I have a split setup where my iCloud account and AppStore accounts are different (not sure if it matters).

If I log in with the former (iCloud), the error is

It comes from the iCloud login window popup. I have advanced protection enabled on that account FWIW, so that might be the issue.

When I log in with the AppStore account, the login flow kicks back to Bear that tries to call https://api.apple-cloudkit.com/database/1/iCloud.net.shinyfrog.bear/... and gets http 421 request needs authorization.

Hey! Yes unfortunately Advanced Data Protection has to be disabled to be able to use Bear Web. (You can read here for more information)

That’s strange because I have ADP enabled as well but was able to load my bear notes the first time I logged in and not after that.

I will say when I log in on my computer where it works, I am already logged in to icloud and I receive a pop up on my phone that asks if I want to temporarily decrypt my data for web access.
