Strange math formula rendering on iOS pdf

• Bear Version: 2.7.1
• OS Version: iOS 18.6.2
• What were you doing: Exporting a note with inline and block math formulas to pdf
• What feature did you use: Inline and block math formulas, pdf export
• What happened: The inline formulas rendered with a sort of double overlay on superscript characters, and the block formulas rendered twice.
• What did you expect to happen: The formulas to render as they appeared in the editor or jpg export

Can you please tell me if you experience the same issue with Bear 2.7.4?

After updating to 2.7.4, I don’t see the formulas rendered in the editor anymore, but they are still editable. When exporting to pdf, it seems to get stuck on the loading screen (which I found to also happen with the jpg export).

Other things I tried:

• Closing and restarting Bear
• Creating a new note with new formulas
• Rebooting my device

I wonder if updating iOS would change anything.

Is this the same bug as RTF/DOCX export hanging on MathJax export?

I hadn’t heard of that one, though after you mentioned it, I tried all the export options for my note with formulas, and it got stuck on pdf, docx, jpg, and epub.
