When I search for a note and press Space to preview it, this is what is displayed:
Showing the contents of the note would in QuickLook be more useful.

You might want to try Raycast. There’s a wonderful plugin for Bear that provides what you’re looking for.

Is there any kind of search expression inside of spotlight that would narrow the results just to bear notes?
Reviving this topic, as I’m seeing the same in May 2025 and having the same thoughts.
Definitely +1 to showing note contents in Spotlight search results preview.
I add kind:note or kind:n to the search expression. But it restricts search to all kinds of notes (Bear and Apple notes in my case), not just Bear notes.
Update: today I’ve found that kind:bear restricts the search to Bear notes only, at least for me.
