I’ve had the following bug for a looooooong time but I could never recreate it consistently. This time it ‘worked’ and I could make a short screen capture.
- Bear Version: 2.3.12
- OS Version: macOS Sequoia 15.4
- What were you doing: Typing in the editor
- What feature did you use: A list
- What happened: When typing in the first line of the list while there’s already a second list item, it can happen that the text of the second line disappears until you continue typing or do something with the missing text. It’s only a small graphical glitch

- What did you expect to happen: Text doesn’t disappear.
Sorry for bumping this thread, but does no one have this text glitches? I just noticed them again in a new note and thought I check back on my bug report. This glitch is obviously not the end of the world, but it can’t be so hard to fix either
I don’t have that specifically but quite often when I am about to edit text the cursor will jump to the top top of the page so when I start typing I am editing the header.
Generally I have to exit the application and re-start and it works ok then it starts again. It does get annoying.
Select text, press Space and … begin typing again to remove visual glitch
Also in Bear 2.4.2.
Neither one of those happen for me, and I do not recall ever seeing either glitch despite frequent use of Bear.
Yeah, it doesn’t always happen, that’s the problem. I get this on random occasions, and if I remember correctly it dates back to Bear v1 even. Oh well, as I said before, it’s that not that big of an issue and I understand it’s hard to fix if you can’t reproduce the problem…
