I lost my password, but am able to access all of my locked posts due to TouchID.
Losing and needing to reset passwords is not an uncommon need (most consumer facing apps have such support). It would be great if devs would add an ability for users who have access to their posts through TouchID to copy over their encrypted posts into new posts without a password (and set a new password, if desired). This would effectively give users an ability to reset their password, so long as they have access through TouchID.
As it is, I’m currently planning to manually copy each of my locked posts into new posts. Then use 3P software to change the creation date so that doesn’t get messed up. And then import them back into Bear, add a new password, and then delete the duplicative posts with old password.
Would be super helpful if devs could support a more streamlined solution for this situation.
