Weird, slightly frustrating "quick open" behavior (or is it just me?)

I search for a note using Quick Open (Cmd + O). I find the note I want. I select the note using arrorw keys. I hit return, and the note opens. I start typing, and…

Instead of being able to immediately start typing in the note, the cursor is instead in the search bar and begins filtering my notes list. I need to click into the open note with my mouse in order to start editing the note I was seeking with Quick Open. Sure, it’s one click. But I would think the expected behavior should be “cursor in just-opened note.” Especially when I don’t have my notes list visible, it’s a pain to start typing and the note I’m trying to edit disappears, because off-screen the search bar is filtering my notes list.

So, TL;DR, I’d ask that upon opening a note with Quick Open, the cursor immeditely moves to that note for editing. (Or does this behavior already exist and I’m doing something wrong?)

The quick open is supposed to select the note in the note list but not move the caret inside the note, so an extra enter is required to edit the note. Unless the selected note is read-only.

Got it, yes! So the short answer is, “I was doing something wrong…” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thanks for the help.
