Why not use the standard SHIFT+CMD+N for creating a new folder? I see it is used for making a new file in the current window but I miss not having a keyboard shortcut for creating a new folder in the files pane.
Likewise, the “+” button should offer a new file or new folder choice.
I don’t understand this response. There are a ton of menu items with modifier keys in Lettera already. Standards in the Mac world use CMD+N for new file and CMD+SHIFT+N for new folder. Deviating from a standard in an application causes confusion for users.
The problem is that the New Folder option isn’t ever visible in the menu unless you press the Option key. That’s what I mean by hidden. I am not saying that shortcuts with modifier keys are wrong.
