- Bear Version: 2.7.1
- OS Version: 26.4 Tahoe MBP M5
- What were you doing: importing more .enex files
- What feature did you use: Import > Evernote
- What happened: except for one tiny .exex file, Bear crashes and disappears
- What did you expect to happen: do more successful imports
Yesterday, I migrated from Evernote to Bear. I import several thousand notes without any problem. Today, when I tried to import two more .exex files, Bear crashes instantly. I submitted a crash report to Apple when asked.
Downloaded from Apple Store and signed up for Pro.
Did not see any other reports that were germane to my issue.

I would contact Bear support. I would also try:
- Importing on iOS
- Leaving the app at the forefront while it is importng
- Export smaller sets from Evernote
My initial import from EN a few years was tough because I had a lot of notes and a couple of them (needles in a haystack) were corrupt or for whatever reason caused crashes, so I had to isolate them by splitting my exports up: These 1,000 notes crash, so split into 2 sets of 500. First one works, second crashes. Split into two groups of 250…
I don’t know if these steps are relevant now a few years later, but I would give them a shot.
Thanks for reporting this issue. The bug it’s solved with release 2.7.2.
You should probably visit Bear’s Mac App Store page to update
