I love everything about Bear—please keep it as minimal, efficient, and beautiful as it is. Recently, I noticed that one of my most-used notes causes the app to crash in certain situations. Specifically, when I press Enter at the top of the note to shift everything below, the app sometimes crashes.
I use Bear during meetings to handwrite notes using Sketch (which I really enjoy), and later I type a summary below for record-keeping. Before each meeting, I add a new heading and insert a new sketch at the top, then continue working this way.
At this point, the note contains 15+ sketches and over 10,000 characters. Now, whenever I try to prepare for a new meeting as described above, I often have to repeat the process multiple times because the app crashes frequently. My guess is that this happens because iPadOS limits Bear’s RAM usage, possibly triggered by a memory leak in this specific scenario.
I’m reporting this in hopes that it can be fixed in one of the upcoming updates.
