I’ve been using Bear for a while now, for multiple purposes, so I amassed a decent amount of notes. One thing I’d love to be able to do is chose a different sorting method for each tag. I like to see my notes on the main page by the most recently modified, but in certain tags I need to sort them alphabetically. It is a bit of a pain to have to constantly switch between them.
This is a feature myself and others have suggested as well (just do a quick search for “sorting” and you’ll find a number of similar requests). Unfortunately it’s not something that has been implemented yet. Right now your best alternative is to create an app specific keyboard shortcut in the MacOS keyboard shortcut settings to quickly switch the sorting method.
System Settings>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts>App Shortcuts>+
Just be aware that you have to match the menu item text EXACTLY or it won’t work.
Here are some examples of the ones I use everyday, including shortcuts to quickly change the note sorting. Hope this helps.
My bad, I didn’t search for similar topics beforehand. And thank you for the tip, I’ll try to implement it and see how well it works for me!
No worries, I’d love to see this feature added too. Hopefully that tip helps in the meantime.
