Embedding MP4 files produces a link rather than showing an attachment

• Bear Version: Version 2.8.1 (14428)
• OS Version: MacOS 26.6 Beta (25G5028f)
• What were you doing: Inserted an MP4 file
• What feature did you use: Drag and drop, as well as Photo browser. Same behavior
• What happened: A markdown link was created, followed by an HTML comment “{“embed” : “true”}”
• What did you expect to happen: The file is attached to the note and an attachment box is placed with the file name and file type

Thanks for reporting this issue. Is this happening regardless of the MP4 file you drop in Bear?

Ah, I figured it out. The file name contains a “%” which seems to affect the behavior. Something about iCloud storage pathing maybe?
