Encoding issues Bear → Telegram

  Hi! I am a small scale Bear Evangelist. During my seminar on creative writing I usually recommend the app. Recently one of my students told me that after copying from Near to Telegram messenger on her iPhone she gets the gibberish encoding (update: it concerns Cyrillic symbols).

  I checked it and yep, same happens on my iPad. Any advice on how to fix that ?

Important: those are Cyrillic (Russian) symbols, English symbols seem to transfer just fine

I have tried to reach Telegram developers about this issue multiple times without success.
Everything works as expected on our side, but VK/Telegram encoding of Cyrillic characters seems to be non-standard.

At the moment, to avoid this issue, you can use Paste From > Plain Text in Bear.
