- Bear Version: 2.8.1
- OS Version: Tahoe 26.5
- What were you doing: Saving an article (Design Token Naming Conventions: A Practical Guide) using the Web Clipper 2.0 in Safari Version 26.5 (21624.2.5.11.4)
- What feature did you use: Web Clipper 2.0
- What happened: When the article opened in Bear, there was an extra empty paragraph inserted between each paragraph of content.
- What did you expect to happen: For the content to be marked up in the same way as in the original article.
I’m half wondering if this is an intentional part of the clipper feature, given that many people will insert an empty paragraph between paragraphs to control paragraph spacing. However, as a semantically-focused web developer, I find this to be an anathema!
I love that Bear lets me customize paragraph spacing in my Bear settings. I don’t want to have to remove those extra paragraphs from every article I clip to have the spacing in the clipped article reflect my preferred paragraph spacing setting. I hope this is just a bug!
Thanks!
