How to Add a Line Break in an Ordered List Without Adding a Number?

For whatever reason ctrl+enter as hotkey works BUT only if you uncheck or change in the Mac setting the standard hotkey for “show contextual menu”.

Actually the standard is to use shift+enter in many apps to add a line break. No clue why it won’t work in bear.

Fantastic! Thank you for figuring this out easteraries. I use line breaks a lot for parenthetical comments within a bulleted item, poetry, addresses, etc, and this was incredibly frustrating. Given that line breaks are a standard formatting method, it’s insane that Bear requires this obscure work-around to enable them. The proper solution would be to change Bear’s keyboard shortcut to Shift + Return. That’s the Mac standard, used by every other text editor I’ve tried.

I am not sure if I have misunderstood @Matteo but I think he said in his reply that shift+enter should work. But it doesn’t. Matteo, can you clarify?
