Jittery navigation caused by MathJax

  • What were you doing: Navigating around the app (scrolling, opening/closing the tags list and notes list) with a note open that contains MathJax.
  • What feature did you use: Navigation, MathJax
  • What happened: When I have a note open that has several lines of MathJax, e.g. for my MS in Data Science homework, scrolling seems to be stuck at a low refresh rate. Opening/closing the tags list and notes list is extremely laggy and choppy. I tested this with a new note with only a few lines of MathJax and it was smooth. But the notes with >10 equations make the program stutter.
  • What did you expect to happen: Buttery smooth navigation. The butterier the better.

I can confirm that the latest version on MacOS (2.6.4) fixes this issue!

I would like to chime in to say that I still have the jittery scrolling problem in Bear 2.6.5 on Tahoe 26.1. I can provide a sample file if needed.

The Tahoe 26.2 update seems to have fixed the issue.
