Love bear a lot, just subscribed, have a couple of questions

I am loving the simplicity of Bear a lot and I am thinking to switch to it completely. I take a lot of notes and work in the field of AI (which is pretty fast moving).

I have a couple of questions though:

  • When are we getting bear web app ? I am completely a Apple ecosystem guy (iphone, ipad and mac) but my work computer is windows. I want the ability to just access the notes and do some light weight editing, fine even if it doesn’t have all the features. Just that I want it accessible there as my complete knowledgebase is my notes which I use a lot.

  • When we will be getting latex support ? I do some math equations and this will help write latex right in the editor which will be helpful.

I’ve seen some comments and reviews about the dev team that they are slow to ship (as they try to perfect the product).

Will we be getting bear web app this year at all ? If so I can start pouring my life into bear, I just love the simplicity of bear.

Hey there! We are working hard on the Bear web version right now. We will soon start Alpha testing but for the official launch it won’t happen by the end of this year.

For the Latex support, this is something we’d really love to do but supporting third party service is a big decision as there are parts that are out of our control. We’d like to review this request after our current prioritized tasks.

Awesome to hear that it’s coming, will there be any eligibility requirements for alpha testing ? Will it get into hands of only some selected participants or anyone willing to use is welcome to the test ? I’d love to test it.

There’s no strict requirement but we will manually select the starting alpha testers here in our community forum. At the beginning we will only invite a limited number of testers for the alpha phase and then gradually open more seats.

Awesome, can you please include me in  I basically want to switch all in bear as it works very well and smooth (very important for me). And I’ve come to hate every other app after using bear. It’s a very solid native app. I just want it accessible on my work windows laptop. I’ve a lot of notes in .md which I will be importing once bear is accessible on web. Please can you consider me for alpha release
