Maybe this is a bug or it’s a removed feature but is the 2 finger gesture to hide/show or tags, notes, and editor still a thing. I loved swiping once to close the tags pane and twice to close the notes pane and back.

I am on 2.3.10 version, the newest one, and it works like expected.
Huh strange, it doesnt work for me
Be sure that your mouse pointer is over the editor
That didnt work either
Make sure your Mac System Trackpad settings:
Swipe between pages
is set to “Scroll Left or Right with Two Fingers”.
(Three Fingers setting does not work with Bear.)
Feature request: Please let the setting: Scroll Left or Right with Three Fingers also work with Bear @trix180 @matteo.
- I prefer this three finger setting, because it distinguish scrolling sideways on a web page, from swiping between separate web pages: Scrolling sideways with two fingers on one page then also works by default.
- I very often need to scroll sideways in text boxes etc in web browsers, but often I scroll a bit too far, and suddenly browsing history get triggered instead – very annoying ;(
- Alternatively: please add to Bear on Mac, the two discrete “open/close side panels buttons”:
<
,>
and ㆔; like we have on Bear on iPad and iOS – swiping does’t always work well for some people including me, nor when using a mouse

Yeah, I noticed that too! Not sure if it’s a bug or an intentional change, but it was definitely a super handy gesture. Hopefully, it gets added back or there’s an alternative way to do it.
This fixed it. and I agree there needs to be two buttons to open close em.
