No path to image in exported markdown file

  • Bear Version: 2.6.6
  • OS Version: Tahoe 26.2
  • What were you doing: exporting notes as Markdown, base64 images, Export attachments
  • What feature did you use: above
  • What happened: exported markdown has the link below:
  • What did you expect to happen: the second link below
![](data:image/jpeg;base64,(null))
⠀![](Butter-Seared Grouper Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards/butter-seared-grouper-1024x768.jpeg)

The images are in a subfolder named the same as the markdown file (the name of the Bear note).

Exporting with the base64 option on should not generate a link to a file, but an inline representation of the image inside the MD file.
However, I don’t expect the result to report (null) as the image data. Can you drag out the attachment from Bear to your Desktop? If you export without the base64 option, does the attachment get exported correctly?
