The issue is still happening in the current iOS/iPadOS versions (v2.3.8).
When switching to another app to look sometime up etc. and then returning back to Bear the text position changes every time. This requires then extra time and effort to again find the position where one left off before.
I am a new user to bear and am a bit surprised what is happening here. This bug was reported over 1.5 years ago. A developer has acknowledged to fix it and it has not yet been fixed? Or the fix broke again in the meantime?
I confirm - when you switch between applications and return to Bear, the cursor in the note is reset (returns to the top to the beginning of the note, for example). It’s very uncomfortable and disrupts the flow. If you need additional information, please let me know.
@open5443@Eversaynot Can you please tell me the iOS release you are currently running? Do you experience this issue regardless of the note you are editing or specific notes?
I’m still experiencing this issue as well, and have been (in Bear 2) for as long as I can remember.
I’ve reported it multiple times but It must be a super hard bug to squash because @trix180 and other ShinyFrog folks have said in multiple posts that it should be fixed “in the next update”.
I really hope it actually gets fixed sometime soon because it makes working between Bear and another app on iOS super frustrating.
