- Bear Version: 2.8 (14403)
- OS Version: Sequoia 15.7.5
- What were you doing: Editing an “old” file far down in the Notes list when sorted by Modification Date. I have ~800 Notes, and this note was about 3/4 towards the bottom.
- What feature did you use: N/A
- What happened: The file’s “Modified” timestamp updated and the file was moved to the top of the Notes list. However, the Notes list did not reconfigure itself properly afterwards, leaving a white “gap”. Clicking the gap focuses the note above the gap. Scrolling up enough that the gap leaves the view and then scrolling back down fixes the issue.
- What did you expect to happen: Proper reconfiguration of the Notes list without a gap.
Additional information:
- I am not yet able to reproduce the problem consistently, but it happens often enough to be noticeable. I will update the post if I find a way to reproduce it perfectly.
- This is not a regression in 2.8. This also happened at least in 2.7.
