Do you create a flattened version of your PDF export where the images are no longer separate objects?
When I create a PDF via Marked and use PDFGear, it allows me to resize or reposition an image but the Lettera export does not. I know there’s a way to maintain the different layers in the PDF but not sure what lib provides the various options.

Yes, that seems to be the case for PDF. That export code was written so long ago that I had to go check it myself 
We do have plans to revisit PDF export, but it’s low enough on the priority list right now that I can’t give you a proper ETA.
ok, just trying to figure out how I’m going to complete my presentation output. All good.
I will say, your current export looks great and is a perfect rendering of what I see in edit mode which is what I’m trying to maintain along pages breaks (H1, H2) and page numbers. I can get away without having more detailed headers and footers. If your export didn’t flatten, PDFGear would allow me to adjust the images because your export doesn’t recognize the “width” setting it puts on the images when I resize them. PDFGear does provide page numbering and headers/footers but not page breaks. Sorry, these aren’t your issues and I’m rambling.
I’m very impressed by the small and to my understanding distributed team that has produced Bear and now Lettera. I also love the fact you stick to your principles.

Update: if I export as HTML from Lettera and use Marked v3, the presentation looks identical to the Lettera editor version and Marked v3 reads in HTML files; so, this may be my path. The HTML file renders better in Marked then the actual MD file. I think since you have control of the preprocessor to create the HTML I’m getting better output than if I use the exported PDF and I don’t have to resize or reposition the images either. I also take PDFGear out of the picture altogether…
