Resized & Positioned images in PDF export

I’m assuming this to be low priority and on future export enhancements but wanted to get it onto your backlog. (? how do we know what makes it onto your backlog)

I’ve attached a photo that contains the PDF view on left and Lettera view on right. I’m hoping the HR’s can show the differences. Due to map image being full-size, the page doesn’t break/flow evenly but that’s another issue partly on me and your assistance with implementing page breaks on Headers, someday, hopefully.

What I’m observing is that the size and position (tabs and spaces) of the image are disregarded, and the PDF export simply utilizes the full-sized image that occupies the entire page or is left-justified. Depending on the other variables that I haven’t yet determined, some photos end up being right-justified.

The following screenshots offer a different perspective that hopefully better illustrates the page boundaries. Additionally, the image is smaller, likely because it is smaller than the map image above, and it respects the tabs.

Everything in Lettera resized and centered.

PDF page, not image is respecting the tab but only because it’s small enough to fit but it is the fulls size image, not the resized one I adjusted for in Lettera.

Again, I understand that this is a low-priority issue, if ever. Now that I’m seeing it more closely, I may stop adjusting these images, but that will bring up other issues that I’ll have to address. By the time I’m done, I expect to have approximately 3,000 pages, but I won’t know for sure until I’m further along.

For now, since I’m using ePub to proofread everything, I should be fine for quite some time. I’ll decide whether to spend my time making any adjustments based on your roadmap.

This is still an issue in Version 1.0.0 (4458).
