Special key (Dates, List, Highlights, etc) display button default change function

Hi! I love using my bear app for my daily newspaper scrapping.

I sort the articles with dates. And when I do so, instead of typing the date, I go into special key display button options and use the date button. (Im not sure Im calling it right but I will attach a photo to clarify.)

But the problem is that the default setting for the date button types in today’s date and time (e.g. 2025-11-18T21:33 ), while I just need the date.

It is still usable since I can click on it for a second to show other options. But It would be great if I can change the default setting to my liking. I often find myself misclicking the button and erase the time part.

I agree. It is a shame that iOS does not have an easy way to put in a date and or time. I have a shortcut that I run that puts the date and/or time, in my preferred format, in the clipboard and then paste it, but as you mentioned, it would be nice to be able to have some configurable dates and times in Bear as, like you, I insert dates a in Bear.

Oh yeah i used to use the shortcut’s current date function as well. but the bear web clipper plug-in is not usable in shortcut so im stuck with manual input
