Style bar dissapears on iPhone

What were you doing: Testing on iPhone 16 Pro Max

What feature did you use: Testing BIU style bar

What happened: Selecting words to style: When keyboard pops up, editor zooms in slightly, so when you collapse keyboard again, style bar gets hidden. So you have to pinch zoom out back to normal full view to see and use any functions.

On iPhone Safari, same thing happens, but the collapse keyboard button also dissapears after some use, and have to tap Bear’s kebab menu button (top right corner) to collapse the keyboard and see the style bar.

What did you expect to happen:

  • Expected no zoom on keyboard activation
  • Or even better: be able to see the style bar with keyboard active.
    Have very randomly been able to get style bar floating (just above keyboard) with keyboard active, by scrolling all the way to bottom of note. But not found a sure workaround for this.

Same (or very similar issue/behaviour) for both Safari and Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Vivaldi on iPhone.

Currently we do not recommend (or support) the use of Bear Web on mobile devices. Navigation may be mostly there, but as you noticed the editing story is a long way from being satisfactory. Thank you anyway for the feedback: we’re keeping track of the issue, but I can’t promise it will be prioritised anytime soon.
