While I’m typing in the editor my text will often glitch and the line will render over the top of the line I just wrote. It happens about every 15min. If I undo, the display snaps back to a clean and correct view, including the text I just wrote. So I haven’t lost any data, but it’s distracting and annoying each time it happens. I haven’t been able to reproduce any steps yet and will try to get a screen grab to demonstrate. What I’m working on isny something I can upload so I’ll need to spend time just writing generic content to reproduce that way.
Hello,
can you please take a quick video of this issue? What iPadOS version are you running?
IOS 17.6.1
iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (4th generation)
I’ll try to reproduce the error while screen recording soon
I cant figure out how to get a video small enough to get under the 8mb upload limit. I wasn’t able to reproduce the original bug, but I did just record a number of strange events. I am writing sentences all in bulletpoint mode. Sometimes when I hit the “tab” key, instead of indenting the line it drops out of bulletpoint mode. And in one instance the cursor acted as if it were at the end of a line of text, but there was still more text to the right of it. I was unable to access that text as the software forgot it existed. When I hit “Ctrl-z” it remembered all the text, but messed up the formatting . My video shows this, but not in a very clear way as you cant see what my input strokes are
Can you please upload the video on a file-sharing service such as DropBox?
That should give access to the video. At 1min in the text does something unexpected, i think when I hit enter. And then a few other weird things occur. Unfortunately, not yet the more obvious and ugly text overwriting i first reported. I’ll keep trying to reproduce that
