Very Laggy Checkboxes

• Bear Version: Version 2.5.1 (13605) (pro)
• OS Version: 15.6.1 (24G90)
• What were you doing: I have a note containing 250 checkboxes in a big list, with some newlines scattered throughout. 100 of them are checked off.
• What feature did you use: I completed a checkbox.
• What happened: Bear freezes for between 1 and 2 seconds before the checkbox completes and moves to the bottom
• What did you expect to happen: Instant checkbox completion

The same note works with no appreciable latency or freezing on iOS when completing checkboxes.

Hello and thanks for reporting this issue. I can see some animation delay on retina displays and we’ll check as soon as possible.

Thanks! I usually use Bear on my laptop connected to a large high-dpi external monitor but your comment prompted me to try on my 15” MBP screen and sure enough, it still freezes for a bit but is noticeably faster – so maybe the delay is proportional to the screen size (making the window smaller doesn’t seem to change the timing).
