I have a lot of pinned notes, and am happy to have that feature.
However, they get in the way sometimes.
For example, after capturing a web page with the browser extension, I want to go into Bear and add tags to the new note. I then I have to scroll past my pinned notes. That would get a lot easier if I could use the View menu or a keyboard shortcut to Hide Pinned Notes and then, after I’m done, use View → Show All Notes or its keyboard shortcut to go back to the usual mode.
For my specific example, I can just use “Untagged” from the tag view to bring my note to the top. There are other times when I want to hide Pinned notes, though.
Pinning on a per-tag-family and per-section level would also solve that issue. The current global pinning indeed leads to a big accumulation of pinned notes being shown as pinned in all contexts
Hmm. When I click a tag, I only see the pinned notes for that tag. That is fine with me. I don’t think I’d want to have different behavior for pins on each tag.
