What do you use instead of tab view? (for multiple open windows management)

The purpose of this thread is not to rant about lack of tab view. (I consider lack of tab view the biggest drawback of current Bear implementation, but we have discussed it elsewhere sufficiently I would say). Here I would like to ask you in positive way:

What do you use to manage multiple windows of Bear notes instead of tabs?

E.g. do you use pinned notes, right-click on Bear app icon (on desktop), do you use Mission Control (control + down arrow) to see all windows, or do you use spatial organisation (or some utility to organise the windows quickly for overview) etc.

Thanks a lot for your tips. (I crosspost this topic also on reddit)

I’ve settled on a system that works great for me using a combo of pinned notes, MacOS spaces, and Raycast. I should also add I only use a laptop without a separate monitor.

First, I have a few pinned notes for quick access in Bear which are major projects for the week and a dashboard type note.

Second, I have 3 spaces (desktops) that revolve primarily around my use of Bear. Bear itself gets its own space (space 2). In this space I’ll often have several notes open in separate windows. But because the space is only Bear it makes managing and cycling through the windows way easier. I use the Mac’s keyboard shortcut for cycling through windows. My third space is setup for deep work on a specific note. I’ll usually tile a bear note on the right half screen and tile a number of app windows to the left for reference.

Third I use Raycast to quickly get to individual notes through hot keys or search. There’s multiple ways to do this but I have apple shortcuts setup I access through Raycast. My favorite is a hot key (hyper key + t) that opens my daily note. Raycast hot keys are sweet.
