I just merged a bunch of notes into one big note about 726k characters and it synced between Mac and iOS with no issues.
Shout out to the Bear devs; you guys rock 
. Maybe the website limits need an update?

The robustness of syncing between apps (plus web!) is very impressive. And sync is clearly a hard problem.

Did it take a while to appear on the other platform? While I agree the sync works well, it sometimes takes a while for a note to appear on another device, rather than instantly.
It took about 10 seconds. What surprises me is that I tried the same thing in Apple Notes, and it synced, but the note was usable in Bear. I could search for text inside the note, while Apple Notes hung and was too slow.
Ah, I guess it was similar, it’s not instant, but it was like 10-15s of it syncing
