Bug report
What were you doing:
- After logging into the Bear web app (web.bear.app), I was browsing or editing Markdown notes;
- The issue occurred even when continuing editing operations (e.g., typing text, modifying formats).
What feature did you use:
“Note Editing”, “Real-time Sync” features of the Bear web app, and the basic “Login Session Persistence” feature.
What happened:
- I was automatically logged out and redirected to the login page within 5 minutes after logging in;
- The auto-logout was more frequent when editing notes;
- I have tried adjusting Chrome settings (e.g., allowed pop-ups, disabled ad-blocking extensions, tested in incognito mode), but the issue still persists.
What did you expect to happen:
- To maintain a stable session after logging in, with timeout logout only after at least 30 minutes of inactivity;
- No auto-logout due to frequent operations while editing notes.
Feedback:
- I have ruled out possible causes such as unstable network, browser cache/Cookie errors, and cross-device login conflicts;
- In Chrome’s site settings for web.bear.app, “Pop-ups and Redirects” has been set to “Allowed”, while “Intrusive Ads” remains “Blocked” – I’m not sure if this is related to the issue;
- The Bear native app (on macOS/iOS) works normally; only the web app has this problem. Hope it can be fixed soon to resume my workflow.
