Feedback: it’s really annoying to have to do the onerous Apple sign-in dance every time I open the Bear webapp. Makes it nearly unusable unless I have a really important reason to access my Bear notes
I agree with your feedback. I haven’t been using it for just that very reason.
Enabling the keep me signed option on Apple’s login and the trust this device option in the sidebar’s … menu should mitigate this issue.
After one quick test, it does seem to, but that still seems broken - I wouldn’t expect that leaving that option unchecked would cause the “session only exists for this one tab” behavior.
How long should the session last when that option is checked?
Why is that option not checked by default?
Thank you for posting this. I was unaware of it. Time to try it now.
The session is managed by Apple server side as for iCloud.com and we don’t know exactly how much it last.
Having this on by default has strong implications for user privacy due to the fact that Bear web can be used on any device.
