Is it possible that I can make a certain browser trusted during login so that I don't need a 2nd factor?

I have to regularly sign in on my Windows machine and I always use the same browser to access Bear web. Is it somehow possible that I can set a trust status for this browser during the Sign In with Apple process?

I haven’t figured it out on my own. But I would like to dismiss the 2nd factor codes on a certain browser.

Hi, I don’t think Apple allows you to do that. Also, the sign in process is private between you and Apple, Bear doesn’t get to see any of it, so we can’t really interfere.

The way we’re thinking to improve the session longevity (and QoL) for frequent users is by exposing a “trust this device” setting, that will have the effect of keeping the session valid even after the Bear Web browser tab is closed (contrary to the default behaviour, which is to never persisting the session).
Using this setting will still require you to sign in occasionally, but only when you let the active session expire:
according to the documentation, the session lasts for 30 minutes after your last interaction, or 2 weeks if you ticked "Keep me signed in” in the sign-in window; from our tests, the actual session duration can vary a bit.

That would be great. I understand that the signin process is totally owned by Apple. I also noticed once during the login that Apple asked for sign in with passkey. But the last days I haven’t seen that option anymore.

Having a longer session for a selected trusted device would be definetely a quality of life improvement. +1 from me.

Could you consider adding this setting soon. Currently I drive my wife crazy because she also gets those two factor popups on each login and I have to login to Bear web multiple times a day. That’s pretty annoying.
