Toggling word count in the note via the desktop app is not persisting through sessions.
Whenever I close the app and open it again, I have to toggle it to show counts.
I would love to get this prioritized for a fix. It’s annoying to turn it on again multiple times.
Also, the same is happening for the “Toggle styles bar”.

We’ve designed the floating bars (word counts and the styles bar) to be a temporary part of the UI, so the fact that those are not persisting through sessions is not a bug, but something intentional.
I’m sure that your use case is a valid one, but this is the first request we had about making those bars persist between app launches.
If we get more requests about that we’ll consider changing this behavior
