Editing notes in web does not save them

Hi Team,

I have Bear on iphone and use web version on laptop/macbook.

I recently migrated to BEAR from Evernote and have been organising notes.

I came accross an issue where editing the notes is not saving them intermitently i.e it saves sometime and sometimes it does not. Majorly it does not.

When you edit it, you will see it updated and the metadata update to just now. But the moment you navigate to a different tag and comeback, the edits are gone. They also do not sync on mobile.
FYI: I have tried different browsers, but same issue.

I really liked the product and thinking of making this my main app, but this is scary. As I am now planning to migration 500+ google keep notes as well here.

  • What were you doing: Trying to edit the note on web
  • What feature did you use: Bear Web
  • What happened: Unable to save edited notes
  • What did you expect to happen: It should save and sync. It is neither doing it. Although it works fine for new notes but not on editing the ones already present

Hi, thanks for the report. We javen’t been able to replicate this issue yet, but we just deployed a small bugfix that could improve (possibly solve) this situation. Please let us know if, after reloading Bear Web you still encounter this issue (i.e. notes failing to save).

If so, please let us know what browser you’re using and which browser extensions you have active (if any). Obviously we consider data loss to be a critical issue and we’ll give its resolution top priority.
