Formatting multiple parts of a text by holding the command key

  • OS Version: Mac OS 15.5
  • What were you doing: Select multiple parts of text by holding the command key and try to formatting all the parts I select
  • What feature did you use: The B/U menu or the usuals macos formatting shortcuts
  • What happened: Only the first parts of the text I select is formatted
  • What did you expect to happen: That all the parts of the text I select be formatted

That’s a multi cursor feature, which is not in Bear. Or it’s not to my knowledge. I guess this would be a feature request instead of a bug.

Now I’m wondering why why we can hold Command and highlight multiple areas without being able to perform an action. Is multi cursor editing on the horizon? I love that feature in text editors like Sublime Text. It would be amazing in Bear, but I’m not even sure you could make that feature possible on iOS/iPadOS.

I can confirm multi cursors are not supported in Bear.
