What were you doing

  • I clicked into a highlighted text area to edit some of the text

What feature did you use

  • Mouse click

What happened

  • Setup: Create highlighted text and have it reach the end of a line before the word wrap
  • Click on the highlighted text, this will push the final word of the highlight down to a new line temporarily because of the equal signs appearing
  • See screen recording. The text underneath becomes hidden or gets stuck as you click on and off the highlighted area.

What did you expect to happen

  • The highlighted text should move the text up and down on other lines instead of hiding, removing, or duplicating the data

I’m afraid we can’t do much about this specific issue because, as far as we know, this is a glitch in all the macOS TextViews, but we can’t find a workaround.
