Is there any update on in-note search becoming async? It could just be my perception, but it feels like the lagginess when searching in-note is getting worse. I included a screen recording (with audio of keystrokes for reference) so you can see what I am experiencing, as well as a screenshot of the statistics for the note being searched. Long story short there is more than 5 seconds of lag between when I type and when final character is added to the search, and almost 10 seconds until the search is completed. Thanks to everyone on the Bear team for continually working to improve this great app.
@matteo I ran some further testing and found that if I removed all of the bullets the in-note search ran 10x fasterā¦ 1s vs 10s+ (as seen in the video below). I donāt know how things are working on the backend, but I donāt understand why bullets/lists would make such a huge impact on search performance. Is that to be expected?

Thatās interesting! Iāll need to test and see whatās happening. 
The editor search could definitely use some improvements. Right now, our plate is pretty full, but search is a key feature, so itās important.
Let us wrap up the new encryption work first, and then weāll look into enhancing this.
