Panda update - new beta available now!

My understanding is that Panda has been kicking around for a few years though. No?

OK, it’s now January 2025 and Panda is kaput again. Please make a usable beta available. I use it every day!

Hi everyone,

We’ll be releasing a new beta of Panda soon, but please keep in mind that our current focus is on other priorities (Bear and Web).

Thanks for your understanding!

When I download the file it doesn’t open anything… then I redownloaded it and it just shows a blank … am I doing something wrong

That download worked for me FWIW.

Is it just me or does the new Beta (Version 1.0 3149) completely break when you add an image? The moment I paste an image, all I can see is the image and my note just disappears.

Ah yep, pasting images borks the file for me too.

It is enough if you just continue to extend the deadline.

Welcome back Panda.
I need Panda in my life.

A new Panda update addressing the image and blank page issue should be available via an in-app update.

Love it! Thank you!

Question: at some point, will the user be able to apply themes and adjust typography settings like in Bear? Or is that out of scope for Panda?

Thank you Thank you Thank you.

I use Bear for research notes. I would love Panda as a simple markdown file editor for simple documents/notes that I don’t want in Bear, and I don’t need a full-fledged word processing app for. I have purchased iA Writer and Byword and find them not that fun to use.

Me too, One Markdown, Paper, and other.

I tried to integrate all my notes into Bear.app, but I realized that there are operations that make it meaningful to keep notes saved in the Finder’s folder.

One more thing, I came up with a idea that it might be convenient if links to individual notes in Bear.app could be saved as files in a Finder folder.

Sorry. I use Kagi Translate from Japanese to English.

Welcome back, this is a good thing.

Quick bugette, K for edit link, there’s no indication which of the inputs is URL and which is text.

Sweet, this is great, thanks! Someone elsewhere suggested using panda for editing markdown in devonthink, and it is such a phenomenally good usecase. The app works great. Honestly, i hadn’t realised how many used i’d have for panda until if was released.

Thanks again for the great app
