Problems with iOS 18, Apple Shortcuts and Bear

Hello everyone,

I have created various shortcuts in ‘Apple Shortcuts’ and unfortunately some of them no longer work since the update to iOS 18. On my Mac mini and Mac Book with MacOS version 14.6.1, the shortcuts still work without any problems.

I often use the function ‘Retrieve contents of a Bear note’ (hope the translation is correct) to change the contents of a note via shortcuts. Unfortunately, this action no longer works. When the action is called up, the Bear Notes app opens and the shortcut hangs.

Are there any known problems with iOS 18, Apple Shortcuts and Bear? I am unsure whether I should report this as a bug?

Instead of using Retrieve contents of a Bear note use get note and then access to the note <note>.text for the content.

Retrieve... is not an action made by us and I think it’s bugged in the beta.

I have various actions in Apple Shortcuts that are displayed under ‘Bear’. Among them is one that retrieves the contents of a note. I took a screenshot and circled the action. I have to admit that I simply translated the name of the action from German into English. I mean the action ‘Get contents of Bear Note’.

Aren’t these all actions from the Bear app?

I also noticed that the translation for ‘Search Notes’ is not correct in German. The action displays ‘Suche nach Tags’, but it should be ‘Suche nach Notizen’.

The actions not provided by us have “Bear Notes” or “Bear Note” in the title, as the one in the screenshot.
