Bear Version: Version 2.3.12 (13245)
-
OS Version: 12.7.6 (21H1320)
-
What were you doing: Updating Bear
-
What feature did you use: Open In New Window - that’s how I set up my workspace in the first place. In opeation, that feature failed to be maintained when Bear restarted after an Update.
-
What happened: At the time of update, I had 24 Bear Note Windows in 24 different Mission Control Desktops (also called Spaces), containing notes about the tasks I was working on in each Desktop, URL links, file names, To-Do lists, etc. When Bear restarted, all windows opened in the same Desktop.
-
What did you expect to happen: I expected the window to reopen in the same desktops they had been in. One of the reasons I’m using Bear is that it does maintain windows in their respective desktops through a reboot. Many text editors, from simple freefies like Moped (on GitHub) paid apps like Typora to Apple’s TextEdit will all reopen windows in the same desktops they were in when the app was closed. I would expect Bear to maintain this organization through an update as well as through a reboot. This is important to my workflow and was rather laborious to reconstruct.
